We will miss you
Yesterday, Bailey's best friend, Kylie, passed away after a short, but brave battle with cancer. She will be dearly missed. Kylie was a wonderful dog with a huge heart. She loved everybody. She was always ready to greet you at the door with a big smile and a wagging tail. She was a patient teacher with Bailey as a puppy and a gentle teddy bear with little kids. You couldn't find a better dog. She will always be her Mom and Dad's little Monkey and we'll remember her for all of the wonderful things that she was. We love you Kylie.

Hiking & Other Updates
Okay....so I know I took a little blog sabbatical. I apologize. Life got busy. You know how it is....the kids get older and get involved with activities and friends and you just become a taxi cab service... :) Just Kidding. I've tried to bring the blog up-to-date over the last 4 months or so. We are definately taking less pictures now that she's outgrown her cute baby phase, but I promise to add pictures of our adventures every once in awhile. Here is Bailey from two weeks ago hiking Mt. Peak with her Mom. She has her training pack on that I bought her for Christmas. We've decided to get serious about hiking this year and I figure as long as I have a dog the same size of me, there is no reason she shouldn't be packing her own stuff in!
Bailey's 1st Birthday!
To celebrate my little girl turning 1 we had a birthday party at Magnuson Park. All of Bailey's buddies came to hang out and have puppy cake. They ran and played, ate cake, opened presents, and in general had an AWESOME birthday! Of course, it was freezing cold out, but we all suffered in silence in the name of birthday fun. My little girl is all grown up!

Camping! (Why should I have to sit on the ground?!)

Hola! I apologize for the large gap in posts. Bailey has been keeping us extremely busy this summer. We've had lots of adventures, including a recent fourth of July camping trip. Even though Bailey was a good 75-80lbs on this trip, she still felt that she had a right to sit on everyone's lap while we sat around the fire. (Why should she have to sit on the cold, dirty ground?!) Crystal definately had the most difficulty with this arrangement since her and Bailey are approximately the same size. :) Eventually we shoved Bailey off of our laps enough that she just claimed her own chair to sit in. I guess this means Aaron and I will have to purchase a third camping chair for our family....

Reunited at last!
This weekend Amy, Brad, and Shadow stopped by to visit and see the house. Bailey and Shadow have not seen each other in nearly two months. They have both grown and changed a lot, and they had a great time together. We went on a walk to the Olympic Sculpture Park...it was beautiful day. Oh, and as you can see, Shadow decided to be rebel and touch the sculptures even though it's forbidden (in a public park...talk about ridiculous)!
